Natural Green Moss On Tree
Natural Green Moss On Tree

The first picture shows you orange fungus on a tree. I will be talking about how fungus develops and how to properly remove it without endangering yourself. The other photo is natural moss growing in a wooded area. Taking that school field trip can show you different aspects of nature. Some of material is already on this site and I will be moving those pages to this section. I have seen more and more children, students, teachers and families searching the internet for specific topics in the world of landscaping and gardening. Science classes as well as Biology labs are teaching about plant specimens, the germination process, and different aspects of horticulture. History and geography teachers are using nature and teaching students about a variety of cultures and geographic locations around the world. Pre - school and young children are learning about the four seasons and using the five senses to develop each child's awareness of their surrounding environment. Families are taking the time to do outdoor projects together.

Family Walking At The Beach
Family Walking At The Beach

Planting a garden or going for a nature walk are two things that can enrich the entire family and bring the family unit back together. Non profit organizations and many different clubs are doing purposeful projects in their own communities to teach people to work together.

Work Field Trip

One of my goals here at landscape solutions for you is to provide information for many different age groups. This learning center will be the central place to visit on educational topics that will enhance students as well as teachers. I have worked in school systems, been a lead teacher in a pre - school setting, and have spoken at many garden clubs. Having owned a landscape and design business over the years has given me the opportunity to help you in learning about a variety of topics in the landscape article section. There are articles on the herb family as well as learning about about the germination of seeds. The content pages are simple to read and can provide easy and descriptive suggestions for any landscape, garden or plant project.

I will be doing articles on different areas that could help in your daily curriculum as well as students doing that all important project. Greenhouses are becoming more popular for the homeowner as well as structures being built on school properties. I had a greenhouse for ten years and watched thousands of seeds mature into plugs and planted into beautiful outdoor gardens or decorative planters.

There are many ways of teaching and learning about different aspects of gardening, landscaping and even indoor planters and gardens. I am planning on giving you suggestions in the future of ways to incorporate nature as well as other tools in your classrooms or at home.

If you are a college student and thinking about owning your own business or possible landscape business, I have written two inexpensive mini guides for each of these topics. If you are a college professor or teacher in a specific field, take a look at these mini guides. They provide a simple hands on approach to someone owning their own small business. Word of mouth is one of the most important aspects of small business today. Take a peak, and you begin sharing a successful philosophy with your students or yourself.
