Make A Garden With Your Favorite Plant Specimens

Make a garden using your favorite plants can be fun and rewarding. I have done a variety of hand drawn designs for my clients and have shared some of them with you on this website. I wanted to do something a little different and offer you some suggestions to create your very own personal garden. This is a simple number design with a sub-tropical feel. It is also a basic design that many people use for a single landscape area. The neat aspect of this type of design is you can take it and incorporate trees, shrubs and flowers that grow well in your geographic location. If you live in a colder climate, now is a great time to plan for a spring landscape project. If you live in a warmer climate, this is an ideal time to get your juices flowing to make a garden you can be proud of. The Southern Hemisphere will begin the fall season soon. An autumn garden prolongs the beauty of the growing season.

Below is the simple little design with plant specimens that could work in a warm or sub-tropical climate. In the gallery of plants section there are a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers photos with different climate zones, This section may give you some ideas for your own area.

As you can see there are a variety of numbers on the page. Each number represents a specific plant as well as some outdoor features. You can take this design and down size it or enlarge it, depending on your space. The plant specimens I put in this design, represent a variety of colors and textures. When I think of sub-tropical or tropical, bright and warm colors comes to mind. In most garden settings, a solid green is your base color. Using different color tones, makes your garden a sample of your own personality. Below is the design key with some photos to help you visualize this garden. You can also find these plants and descriptions in the gallery of plants section and the tropical section.
