Photo Gallery Of Eight Basic Culinary Herbs

Here is a photo page of the eight basic culinary herbs. I wanted you to see up close each of their colors and textures. There are hundred of different herb species and many have culinary value.

A lot people think of the following eight as the most popular herbs to cook with. Of course there are many other type of herbs that you can use for cooking as well as doing dried arrangements and making vinegars. I hope between these pictures and the article, you will begin to experiment and have fun developing your own special recipes and dishes.

I had a green house for quite a few years. I experimented with many different herbs, vegetables, flowers, and shrubs. At one time there were over 5,000 plants. This was a wonderful time to take the secrets of growing your own herbs and watching them turn into plugs, and then delightful plants.

There are different methods to ensure you have quality plants. There is nothing like growing your own and using them in culinary dishes for you and your family.

Rosemary Chives Dill

Basil Sage

Parsley Oregano Thyme

These pictures represent the basic eight culinary herbs that are used the most.

I feel it is important to read the description of eight basic culinary herbs and also be able to see these photos.
