Pictures Of Variegated Evergreen Plants

Pictures of variegated evergreen plants can help you find a landscape solution for your yard. Adding color to the outside of your home, can turn a unattractive area, into a beautiful place to enjoy day after day. There are so many different types of shrubs and plants to choose from today. People are most definitely in tune with low maintenance care of shrubs and trees. A lot of evergreen plants provide you with year around color and very little up keep. When designing, I like to use a variety of variegated shrubs. Here are some samples of shrubs to consider when doing a landscape project. My goal is for you to see a close up of the actual color and texture of each plant...

Aucuba Plant

  • Aucuba - shrub will grow three to ten feet high and seven to ten feet wide. Shade plant that cannot have direct sunlight. The Aucuba is right for zones seven through ten.

  • Picture of Sudworth Arborvitae

  • Sudworth Arborvitae - this shrub can range from six to eight feet in height and four to six feet wide. Partial shade required and is good in zones three through seven.

  • Picture of Goshiki Osmanthus

  • Goshiki Osmanthus - shrub can reach seven to nine feet high and ten to fifteen feet wide. Upright and good for an open area. Needs partial shade and grows well in zones seven through nine.

  • Picture of Mop Cypress

  • Mop Cypress -shrub will grow three to four feet high and three to four feet wide. This plant is great next to a solid color shrub. Can take sun and partial shade. Good in zones five through eight.

  • Variegated Privet Ligustrum

  • Variegated Privet Ligustrum - This shrub can grow ten or more feet high and four to six feet wide. Good to keep trimmed . Sun to partial shade. Right for zones six through nine.

  • Liriope Plant

  • Liriope - This plant looks like grass and is great for bordering a bed. Grows 12 to 18 inches high and six to ten inches wide. Can take sun or shade and in summer produces purple tone flowers. In fall, a berry appears with blue/black color. Appropriate in zones five through ten.

  • Picture of Golden Euonymus

  • Golden Euonymus - Medium size shrub, growing four to five feet high and wide. Does well in full sun or part shade. Is an upright, but it does flow outward. Good for zones five through nine. Shiny variegated leaves.

  • Kaleidscope Abelia

  • Kaleidoscope Abelia - This plant will grow three to six feet high and three to six feet wide. Can take sun or shade, but does require six hours of sunlight. Rich yellow and green color leaves and red tone in branches. Will do well in zones five through nine.

  • Mountain Fire - Pieris Japonica

  • Mountain Fire Pieris Japonica - low spreading shrub, growing two to six feet high and two to three feet wide. This plants likes acid base soil and rocky conditions and is native to the United States. Can take more sun then other Pieris Japonicas. Notice the leave colors and how rich in tone they are. Good in zones five through eight.

Any one of these plants will add color and zest to your yard. This is only a handful of specimens you can choose from.
