Selecting Flowers By Color For Your Perennial Garden

Selecting flowers by color for a perennial garden can be a nightmare. This informational page will give you some tips on how to choose flowers according to color, height, and light requirements. If you are thinking about doing a perennial flower garden, or incorporating some perennials in your landscape, take the time to plan your entire color scheme. I recommend to my clients to write down on a piece of paper their favorite flowers. Learn about each of their colors and growing needs. Once you have done this, begin to narrow down the list. Taking your favorite colors and transforming your own personality in a perennial garden, can create a wonderful addition to your outside enjoyment. Here are a few photos of perennial flowers.

A perennial garden can be a ground or container garden. Before selecting your flowers, decide what area you want to do a container or ground garden. If you are doing a ground garden, stake out the area, and do the critical prep work before planting. Know the height of each flower and go ahead as you can design a perennial garden. When selecting a perennial garden you have options of making a multi color area, a few colors, or selecting a one or two theme colored garden.
