Warm climate plants gives a whole new perspective on a vast array of textures and the growth patterns. Some of these plants will grow in cooler climate zones but when winter arrives, they will die out. In the learning center there is a climate zone map so you can find your zone and how close your are to the tropics. I have done a few previous pages on some warm weather plants and have moved the pages to this section. This will make it easier for you to find these plant specimens. The Bogonia, Cana Lily, Jasmine, Bamboo, Palm, Mandevilla, and Ginger are just a few tropical plants. There are many tropical annuals

The Plumbago and Allamanda shrubs are another two tropical beauties. Both of these plant specimens will do well in many style gardens in warm climates. Each have their own unique characteristics but add so much beauty to a tropical landscape.
The Pittosporum and Yaupon Holly are two evergreen shrubs that survive near the beach as well as other warm weather climates. The Pittosporum does well in zones eight through ten, but can survive in zone seven. Here is a little information on each of these plant specimens for you.

The Mango is native to India as well as many Caribbean countries. There are over 1,000 varieties and the Mango comes in many different colors. The Mango has a soothing taste and enhances many culinary dishes.
The Coleus and Caladium are wonderful plants for warmer climate zones. The Coleus growers create hybrids that will survive in zones three through eleven. Both these plant specimens are known for their colorful foliage.
The Daphne Odora is a spectacular fragrant wintertime flowers. The Daphne blooms in late winter into spring. The Daphne grows well in zones nine through eleven in the United States. It is considered a sub-tropical plant specimen.
The Pomegranate tree is a wonderful ornamental and fruit tree. It grows well in sub-tropical to tropical climates. The Pomegranate does well in zones nine through eleven in the United States, but will survive in zones seven and eight. A great tasting fruit with nutritional value.
