I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment and want to have some plants, how or what can I use so that the water does not drip through?

Deck Plants And Watering

Hi Sue, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on what you can use to avoid water running below your plants.

There are many different products available today to put underneath plants. The saucers of plastic or ceramic are very popular. Budget wise you can get a bulk of plastic saucers for a very reasonable price. If you want to be a little more decorative, you can purchase ceramic or clay pots that have attached saucers or matching ones. All of these will work very well with your plants.

The main thing you will want to make sure of is that the saucer is deep enough to catch the water. Some are more flat and water will spill over.

Container plants make a wonderful addition to your living area. Herbs will do especially well in your location. If you do some herbs, combine some light weight potting soil with sand. Once established herbs will do very well.

I hope this answers your question and good luck to you. Thank you again for asking the question here at landscape solutions for you. Feel free to ask anytime. Have a great day.
Kimberly
