Indian Hawthorn Shrub
by: Kimberly

Hi Richard, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on your Indian Hawthorn shrub.

There are many different fertilizers available today for shrubs. I personally recommend to give a specimen a boost, organic mushroom compost. This is an organic fertilizer that will last up to one year. Loosen your dirt about the Hawthorn. Add some mushroom compost to the soil and keep watered. The ingredients in mushroom compost provide rich sources of material that will give your Hawthorn a big boost, espeically for next spring.

Since you live in Florida, your winters are mild, so if you stay on a good watering schedule for a few weeks to getthe mushroom compost time to work, your Hawthorn should begin to look better.

I hope this helps some. If you don't want to use the mushroom compost, make sure you check the ingredients for shrub fertilizers. Try and purchase as much natural chemicals as you can.

Thanks again for asking the question here at landscape solutions for you. Feel free to ask anytime. If anyone else has other suggestions for Richard, feel free to contribute. Have a great day!
Kimberly
