Indian Hawthorn growth

Thanks, Kimberly. We just bought a 15 gal. Indian Hawthorn which is currently only 2' tall. If it were to grow say 6" a year, then I would estimate it to take 6 yrs to grow up to 5' tall or to it's full potential. We have a 5' fence and I was hoping it would cover the height of the fence faster than that. But we'll have to wait and see. Thanks again for your prompt response.

Growth of Pink Lady Indian Hawthorn

Hi, California gardener, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on the Pink Lady Indian Hawthorn. Very good question to ask.

The Indian Hawthorn on average will grow between three and seven inches a year. This may vary to climate and conditions. I am not sure how tall your Indian Hawthorn is now. If planted in well drained soil, and watered it should do well with the growth yearly. Once established, the Indian Hawthorn is easy to care for. A little pruning when needed, and is drought tolerant once established.

Thanks for asking the question on your Indian Hawthorn. As far as how long it will take to grow five feet in height, just take the three to seven inches as a guide line and add that on to how tall the shrub is now. Thanks again and feel free to ask anytime. Hope you are having a great day!
