I want to know the importance of vegetable for kid taught. and vegetables are tomato, potato, lady finger, bringal - eggplant,onion, cucumber etc.

Importance of Vegetables

Hi, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thanks for asking the question on the importance of vegetables for children and how to teach them.

Getting children to eat vegetables is a challenge around the world. So many vegetables provide vitamins and nutrients for a balanced diet.

Here are a few suggestions. Get children involved with growing vegetables if possible. This can be done with a ground garden or container garden. Kids love to play in dirt, and show them in an easy way how to germinate seeds, take care of them and watch the veggies grow.

You also have the option of buy small plugs that have already been germinated and are small plants.

If you are doing a ground garden, let the children design the garden themselves. One option depending on their age is to do shapes, squares, triangles, and circles. Great hands on learning.

To entice children to each veggies, have them make different small shapes on their plates. A face with eyes, nose, and mouth. Let the kids design different veggies with their own creativity. All this will depend on the age group.

Having been a lead pre-school teacher years ago, hands on learning and letting child create and explore allows their interst in the project.
