Indian Hawthorn - Produce More Flowers
by: Kimberly

Hi Leoma, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on producing more flowers out of your Indian Hawthorn.

There are a couple of things you can do. There are some safe products available today that you can put directly into the soil around the Indian Hawthorn. The products are flower enhancements. If these products are available in your area, make sure you water after applying the enhancer.

Another option is to do a good prune after the flowers have bloom. This will bring out the blue berries in the fall or autumn, and allow for new growth for the next flowering season.

Another option that I will use is to use organic mushroom compost. You can loosen your soil, add the compost around the plant, and water. This is an organic fertilizer that will last up to one year. Doesn't smell great, but plants love it!

I hope this helps some and keep in touch and let us know if you get more flowers on your Indian Hawthorn in the future.

Thanks again Leoma for asking the question, and feel free to ask anytime. Hope you have a great day.
Kimberly
