With the drought in the southeast over the last few years, our Pomegranate tree has been struggling to produce flowers and fruit. This year we have had rainfall and the brilliant color orange flowers are multiplying
on the tree. The Pomegranate specimen will grow well in zones nine through eleven in the United States. My zone of
seven allow the warmth of the summer to produce flowers and fruit on this deciduous tree in zones seven and eight. The Pomegranate is native to the Mediterranean and Southern Asia. This page in the tropics section will give you a little more information on the Pomegranate tree. A wonderful sub-tropical and tropical tree. There are many other plant specimens that will compliment the Pomegranate. Ah, there is nothing like tasting the seeds from a freshly picked Pomegranate fruit. Tom and I look forward to eating the fruit later this summer into early
fall.

don't panic. The tree or trees are under stress and will need a little extra care to survive. There

indoors. In my zone seven we can have the Mandevilla outside during the warmer months, but must be brought
inside during the colder ones.

Vegetables can be one of the most difficult food groups to get children to eat. We all know that veggies provide wonderful nutritional value to anyone's daily diet. One of the recommendations to families and learning facilities I like to make is to get children of all ages involved.
One of the first ways, is to plan and implement a vegetable garden in the ground or containers. Have the children
involved in the whole process. Once the vegetables have matured, get creative and make healthy snacks or with meals. Allow the child's creativity to come out with different shapes and combining colors. This page in the learning center section shows you a couple of ideas on how to take fresh vegetables and a few herbs and give the child or children an invitation to try each vegetable. There are other educational
projects and information in the learning center. A great project
for all ages and organizations.

There are so many different plants and
outdoor features that you can incorporate in your front yard. This page in the gallery of plants section may give you some ideas of different landscape and garden plants and accessories along the foundation,
along the driveway, and in an open area. There are many plants with photos and descriptions in the gallery of plants section as well. I hope you are able to come up with some ideas for your front yard investment.
