Landscaping Around 3 Raised Septic Holding Tanks

Hi Jonetta, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on what to plant around your 3 septic holding tanks.

Your main goal is to think about the area around the holding tanks and the prep work. I would recommend a raised landscape area around the holding tanks. Good quality top soil. If possible a combination of saw dust, black dirt, and sand will work great.

You don't want to plant anything that has too deep root systems.

I would suggest looking at evergreen shrubs that would hide each of the tanks.

1. Lemon Thread Cypress
2. Cleyera
3. Yew Family
4. Loropetalum - Larger variety
5. Degroots Arborvitae
6. Holmstrup Arborvitae

These are just a few that come to mind. I am not sure what your soil conditions are around the tanks. If you need more suggestions, feel free to ask or you can give us a little more details about the surrounding areas around the takes.
