Walkway On Slope
by: Kimberly

Hi Kay, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you very much for asking the question on your walkable slopes. I have a favor as would like a little clarification. Are you looking at intermingling different walkways down your slope? I understand the measurements and degree of incline, but was wonderful how you invisioned this walkway?

My crew and I have done natural pathways down slopes and banks before. One of the main goals is to make sure each step is leveled out and secure. We have dug out each step and tampered it down. We border the sides with material and also have put wood or rocks against each step back to secure it. What type of soil do you have? Were you thinking of any material such as natural rocks or pressure treated lumber to border or put on each step? If you could send some more information on your thoughts, other visitors and myself can go from there. Thanks again for asking the question here at landscape solutions for you, and look forward to hearing from you.

If you are looking at crossing pathways, you could consider doing a terrace style. Just a thought. Have a great day.
Kimberly
