Pine sawdust for mulch
by: Kimberly

Hi, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on using pine sawdust for mulch. This is a very good question with many people having a lot of pine trees in their own geographic location.

You can use pine sawdust for mulch. The most important thing to remember about pine sawdust is it contains an acid base. Know your plant specimens and how they react to an acid base before using the sawdust as mulch.

I live in an area that has an acid base soil. If you want, add some line to the sawdust and this will neutralize some of the acid.

The best of luck to you and thanks again for asking the question. Feel free to ask anytime. Have a great day!
Kimberly
