Roses near Ecualyptus Tree

Hi Joy, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on your Eucalyptus tree.

How long have you had the rose plant in the ground? If you haven't had it in for too long, I would suggest transplanting it to another area.

Eucalyptus trees have mass root systems that will take away moisture and nutrients from othe plant specimens near them. I have planted a few Ecualyptus trees and the main goal is to allow room for the trees root systems. Some plants will be do fine around the Eucalyptus. I have actaully put some Rosemary, Indian Hawthorn, and Nandinas, and they have survived. Make sure you plant far enough away so the root system of the Eucalyptus won't bother the other shrubs or plants.
