Sowing a lawn
by: Morton

Not enough info but what i do is rotary hoe area, roughly level with garden rake then use my home made lawn level rake(2m lenght of 100x25 timber on its edge with a braced handle)drag it over area usually in figure 8 pattern, this cuts high and fills low points. Then the landscapers two step, Walk on your heels over the entire area(paying particular attn to edges) as this helps compact soil to reduce sinking.A roller only compacts top inch or so
Then go over it again with lawn level rake. Now ready to sow with either seed sower or manually, I prefer to hand throw seed. Water well and keep lawn moist at all times
Hope this helps

Would love some more information
by: Kimberly

Hi, this is Kimberly from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. As far as sowing your grass, if you could give us a little more information on what you did to sow your grass, we might be able to give you some feedback. Where you starting from scratch, or were you over seeding, or maybe filling in bare spots? How did you sow the grass, and was there anything else you did to prepare the ground? Did you use chemicals such as weed killer, fertilizer, etc... We look forward to hearing from you.
