Grass For Slope
by: Kimberly

Hi Don, Kimberly here from landscape solutions for you. Thank you for asking the question on your deep slope and grass that would suit this area.

A couple of evergreen grasses that come to mind.
All are pretty low maintenance.

1. Sheep Fescue - takes drought
2. Brome grass
3. Dry Prairie Grass
4. Sand Drop Seed

You can see if any of these are available in your area. Also you might want to think about these three ground covers. All are evergreen in your climate zone.

1. Liriope
2. Mondo Grass - comes also in dwarf and a good choice is Black Mondo.
3. Ground Thyme - grows and spreads great!

Another idea for you is to think about combining a grass from the first list with the second list. This will give your slope a great look with a little different color and texture. I hope this helps. Let's us know what you decide.

Thanks again for asking the question here at landscape solutions for you. Feel free to ask anytime. Hope your day is going great.
Kimberly
