by Teresa

Want to put a small above ground pool in yard but have not enough space due to the sloping. Was wondering how to level an area, and how much it might cost?

Sloped Backyard And Above Ground Pool
by: Kimberly

Hi Teresa, Kimberly here from landscape-solutions-for-you. Thank you for asking the question on the slope in your back yard and installing an above ground pool.

One of the first steps is to look at the slope and how steep it is? Do you have a tiller? If you don't, you can rent one and this won't be that expensive. Using a tiller will depend on how steep the area is. If you can use a tiller, you can level out the slope area. Rake it out as much as you can to get the ground level.

The other option is to hire a landscaper with a bobcat. This will be more expensive, but could get the job done. Landscapers will charge different fees, depending on what the job entails.

If you use a tiller, what my crew and I have done in the past is to work the ground by taking the tiller over and over again. It is best to use a real tine tiller. You can actually move the dirt with the tiller. Please let me know if this helps, and keep us posted on what you decide. If you need more information on your slope area, go ahead and share it will us. The most important aspect of this project is the prep work, and getting the ground as level as you can. I hope you will be able to do this, so you can enjoy the pool. Thanks again for asking the question, and feel free to ask anytime. Have a great day!
Kimberly
