Successful Culinary Delights from Jen

I enjoy cooking and typically use fresh herbs to make my culinary delights all the more exquisite. However, purchasing fresh herbs at the grocery store can be a costly venture.
Recently I moved into my own apartment with a patio and have discovered that my typically black thumb, has started to turn green. Normally, if I so much as look at a plant, it dies within moments. So, I decided to start small and work my way up. I started with ivy plants in the living room and when I didn't kill them, I purchased basil and sage seedlings. I planted them in a large pot along with a few more herbs I started growing from seed. When they all began to sprout like mad, I decided to step up and purchased a hibiscus tree, one of the more difficult things to grow, since it's tropical in nature. It's beautiful and flowers daily.
Now, not only am I able to create divinity in the kitchen with my fresh parsley and basil, but I have a cover of beautiful flowers to shroud my patio and keep prying eyes from spying on me!
And that is my pride and joy!! If you are on the cusp of growing something, take a chance, it just might work out. If I can do it, anyone can!!
